David Broome

From Ffaith

An exceptional showjumper who's carreer spanned more than 40 years. Broome was World Champion both as an amateur and a professional and was three times a European Champion. He was also winner of the King George V Cup on six occasions and holder of two Olympic bronze medals. He has attended six Olympiads.

He was born in Fairwater, Cardiff on March 1st, 1940. His family moved to Crick, near Chepstow when David was nine, where he still lives.

He is a Welsh Sporting Hall of Fame inductee.
