Stand up comedian, actor and one-time boxer Lee Evans was the son of Rhyl entertainer Dave Evans. Lee, born in Bristol, won the Perrier Comedy Award at the 1988 Edinburgh Festival and broke the world record for a solo act performing to the biggest comedy audience in November 2005 when he played to 10,108 people at the Manchester Evening News Arena.
