Nennius
From Ffaith
Nennius, was a Welsh monk and a historian in the ninth century. The monk, reputedly from Bangor, is a major source for tales of King Arthur. Nennius was quite a creative writer by all accounts. One modern historian writes that his work was "unrestrainedly inventive." [1] Perhaps it isn't surprising then that historians think that Nennius' work can't be entirely trusted. Some even doubt his existence [2] claiming that he may be one of two writers, both called Nennius; one arguably fictional.
