Snooker

The first Snooker World Cup in 1979 was won by Wales, beating England 14-3 in the final.

And in January 1999, teams from England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland competed in the inaugural Nations Cup snooker tournament at Newcastle, England. Wales defeated Scotland 6–4 in the final to become the first Nations Cup champions.
